This good information is comes from a new friend some days ago.

These days I feel Chicago gives me so many gifts.

I believe, "Time" is always a good teacher to tell me how to prepare for my life.
Hao, that looks like an amazing program and opportunity. It hadn't really occurred to me that as educators our opportunity is not just local, but global. Im fascinated with the idea of seeing the world and truly experiencing it...often when we go places we only see the things that are great or sweet. We don't get to see the real society or entire society. I remember on my honeymoon, my wife and I went to Ochoa Rio Jamaica and we had joined another couple from NY who had an highly recommended guide that was going to give us a real tour. The best part of the tour was going to a small elementary school, the school itself was a single room, smaller than our cyber ped classroom. And I remember how happy the kids where to see us....they instantly gave us hugs....I think they thought I was a basketball player too lol. I wish that I had a clone, because if I did I would definitely take advantage of going abroad an interacting with some of these environments.
ReplyDeleteHi roosevelt:), I am so glad you are enjoy this. Actually, One of my dreams,I hope can try my best to improve(or change) art education situation in chinese poor area. Because I think every children should has equal authority to get an education.
DeleteJust like you told,I always hope can copy many "me" to do more helpful things too. But life just let you to choose only one way to show your power in your realm. So after I graduate, I am not become an art teacher in an elementary school, I expect can meet more people who have a same dream and work together, make this power become stronger to help more children.
I remember you told the topic about "education technology" in social theory class, I think you are good at and interested in technology, so what you want to do with your "technology" ?
a really cool looking program i wish they had when i had just graduated from college! maybe someone could explore the program a little further and let the rest of the class know more details about it? or thinking more locally with something like this, are there pieces that you can model and learn and implement on a small scale right now as grad students?
