Using Technology in Good Way
The news is from my homtown Ningbo. Some high schools(includ my school) are using iPad in education.
There is no book, no keybord on the desk, students can do some physical or chemistry experiments in ipad. This program in education in China still a test, but it is really cool in some complex classes. It let my think about Salman Khan , he create videoes in teaching for students, and create his own non-profit educational organization. So, combine technology with education is really can improve quality of teaching.

CNN had also did a special on Khan awhile back and a lot of people are really benefiting from it. I think his story is amazing and I can't wait for my daughter to get where she can start doing some of things in the video. I guess one question that could be asked is, even though the education comes from series of videos, is this still banking education? Banking education where you are presented "facts" and you just remember them but your not able to really problem solve or think critically about how you arrive at the solutions. In the CNN special a school was having a lot of success with the Kahn program because they had it in the classroom with all of the kids using it and their progress was monitored. Teachers would still on some level engage with the student and help them when they got stuck.
